How we designed the next phase of Safety Check Nothing matters more to people than their safety, especially during a crisis. We built Safety Check a few years ago to make it easier for people to let their loved ones know they're safe after a disaster and check on friends in the area.

Nolan, who's been leading a lot of our product design decisions, shared this idea in our Slack channel the other day as we reviewed our next product design iteration: Familiar is good. This couldn't be more true.

Each year we learn something new about design and 2016 was no different. After the last year article was a real success we decided to make some predictions for 2017, enjoy & share with the world.

Varying these smaller contours allowed Berlow to create all of Decovar's eye-catching effects within one interpolating space. Three skeletal axes control the shapes of Decovar's stems and hairlines, while seven terminal axes control the shapes of the endings, from rounded corners to slab serifs.
